What is an ALC panel?
An ALC panel is a reinforced lightweight concrete wall panel made in the factory and installed as a large wall section instead of being laid block by block. It is used mainly for non-load-bearing internal and external walls inside a concrete or steel frame.
Is an ALC panel the same as an AAC wall panel?
They belong to the same lightweight-concrete family and are often searched as the same thing. Conventional AAC panels are cured in a high-pressure autoclave. Vodapruf vPanel is made with LIGHTHERM aggregate and is naturally cured for 7 days, giving an enclosed-cell structure with low water absorption. Compare the declared test data for any panel you are considering.
How much does an ALC panel cost in the Philippines?
Panels are quoted per square metre of wall, by thickness, delivered to site. The figure depends on wall area, thickness, panel length, installation method, accessories and delivery location. Send your wall schedule and we will return a per-m² quotation that states exactly what is included.
What fire rating does vPanel have?
The 100 mm vPanel has a 4-hour fire rating tested to BS 476 Part 22, and a non-combustibility test to BS 476 Part 4. Test reports are available on request for your consultant.
Can ALC panels be used for external walls in the Philippines?
Yes. vPanel is suitable for external walls and wet areas, provided the panel joints, frame junctions, openings and external finish are detailed correctly for wind-driven rain.
Can I hang cabinets, TVs or equipment on an ALC panel wall?
Yes. There are four fixing methods depending on the weight per hanging point. Tell us what will be mounted on the wall and we will recommend the fixing method.
Do you supply ALC panels to the Philippines?
We review Philippine projects case by case. After seeing the wall schedule and site location, we confirm whether vPanel suits the project, the delivered price per m², the shipping route and the lead time before you commit.
